Interparents welcomes the report by Jean-Marie Cavada, France MEP, on the European schools
and opinions by Mr. Damien Abad, Budget Committee and Ms. Cecilia WIKSTRÖM, the Legal Committee.
Mr Cavada has invited the Culture and Education Committee to a Q/A session in order that they can
gain a deeper insight into the way the system is organised and into the problems it is currently facing.

Further to our entry on the report the Commission sent to the European Parliament about European Schools' system in 2009 , we can tell you that the European Parliament has appointed Jean-Marie Cavada, France MEP, to do a report on the European schools. Ana Gorey and José Sánchez of INTERPARENTS have had an initial meeting with his assistents. Besides this the Budget Committee of the European Parliament has appointed Mr. Damien Abad as rapporteur for the European Schools. Ms. Cecilia WIKSTRÖM from Sweden is the rapporteur for the Legal Committee.
